ashley graham, the damsel
Being the daughter to the President of the United States had its perks. Ashley Graham was given access to the best education and health possible in the United States of America. Possibly even more important, Ashley was also put under top security and under constant guard while growing up in an unstable and constantly changing country. After all of the events of 2004 with the Umbrella Corporation (of which Ashley only knew what she heard in the media, or what she heard about while her father was on the phone and she was eavesdropping.) All in all, by the end of the Corporation, Ashley was looking forward to the world quieting down.
Unfortunately, soon after, Ashley was abducted from her Massachusetts college campus (Harvard.) While attempting to return home from her campus, Ashley was kidnapped by Osmund Saddler and his mysterious cult, and taken to an “undisclosed” area in Europe where they planned to infect her with the parasite “Las Plagas.” The cult holding Ashley captive was entitled Los Illumandos. All of the villagers in the small area of Europe had pledged themselves to this cult; while the cult also had mutated abominations at its beck and call to stop anyone who dare try and rescue Ashley from her captors.
The parasite they planned to infect her with would, in essence, infect her father and other members of the United States government after they returned her home. Fortunately, Leon S. Kennedy, a survivor of Raccoon City, was sent on a mission to rescue her. Naturally, things aren’t as easy as getting in and getting out, and both Kennedy and Ashley were faced with a horde of cult members trying to keep her and Kennedy from escaping the village.
Ashley became recaptured by Saddler while taking refuge with Kennedy inside the castle of the local castellan, Ramon Salazar. She was kept by Saddler until rediscovered and rescued again by Kennedy and another mysterious stranger, Ada Wong. After Kennedy discovered a vial containing the plague on Saddler’s dead body, Wong held him at gunpoint, and demanded the vial before escaping the area via helicopter. Kennedy and Ashley escaped via jet-ski, after which, Ashley was returned home and into the welcoming arms of her loving father.
